IMAP Download 10+ Gigs of Email from Gmail?

Using Chilkat IMAP, are there any know issues with this component being able to download 10+ gigs of email from Gmail?

Answer

There are no known issues, except for these:

  1. 10GB of email is an obscenely huge amount,and will obviously take a very long time, regardless of what software is used as the IMAP client.
  2. Don't expect to download all 10GB in a single session such that all of email is held at once in memory. Your app will obviously run out of memory.
  3. Devise a download strategy that is sane and can resume from where it left off if interrupted due to external network problems.
