Question:
What is the meaning of this error?
LoadLibrary(“ChilkatAx-9.5.0-win32.dll”) failed – The application has failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem.
This indicates that the VC++ 9 (Visual Studio 2008) runtime library is not installed on the machine. The Chilkat ActiveX is compiled using Visual Studio 2008 and therefore requires the VC++ 9 redist. It is typically already pre-installed on Windows computers, but for older computers it may not exist.
