Renaming Chilkat .NET DLL shows run time error!

Greetings, hope every one on this forum are fine.

i am facing a wired issue. Now i am using chilkat .net library. But when i rename chilkat.net library dll file to something else like (ChilkatDotNet2.dll to Example.dll) and reference to that then vb.net shows following error:

Could not load file or assembly 'ChilkatDotNet2' ......

But my clients want to rename the dll. So, what should i do now?

please help me out?

Answer

You cannot rename the DLL. This is not something imposed by Chilkat -- it's a Microsoft "feature".
