Hello,
is a throttle for uploads with sftp possible like with ftp?

At this time (15-Oct-2012) there is no throttle feature for SFTP (Secure File Transfer over SSH). This may change in the future, but not in the near future.
Perhaps Andreas can use a CkSftpProgress subclass and add Sleep calls in its methods? Dirty but maybe enough for his purpose.
