UnixCompress does not return when compressing large files

Hello, we are using Chilkat to compress large files with different algorithms chosen by the user. When using UnixCompress on large files (e.g. 10Gb), the control flow does not return (at least not in 24 hours). When the process is killed after about 3-4 hours, the compressed output file is already finished. We are using ChilkatDotNet45 in version 9.5.0.45. Any help appreciated
